Aims and Objectives

The group works to preserve London’s role as a city for entrepreneurs, responds to the changing nature of work, and encourages collaboration across London’s business community. The Committee aims is to drive transformation, leverage opportunities for new ways of working, and strives to create an environment for innovative businesses to share their expertise for cross-sector learning.

New skills funding for Londoners

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has launched new measures to boost skills training in the capital with key changes to London’s Adult Education Budget (AEB). About 400,000 Londoners will now be able to get access to the founded training opportunities, and the 3 year residency requirement has been removed for Londoners on some immigration schemes.

Report: Ethnic Diversity in Business

The report looks at the correlation between demographics of individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds and subsequent success in business and highlights the problems that ethnic minorities face accessing finance and procurement opportunities.

Business Mentoring Programme

IBPC and Be the Business have teamed up to give Members access to a tailored business mentoring programme for free. This programme matches small and medium business leaders with an experienced business mentor to act as a sounding board and advisor and help the small business leader to achieve their business goals.
